under 18 years of age.
Counties in South Carolina that allow 16 & 17 year old applicants
to apply for a marriage license:
Aiken, Beaufort, Colleton, Greenville, Horry, Lexington,
Oconee, Richland, and Spartanburg.

You are currently legally married and have not obtained a final divorce decree.
The divorce order must be signed by a judge and properly filed with the Clerk of Court. You
must have a copy of this order in your possession at the time of application.
You have entered into a common-law marriage that has not been legally dissolved
by a final divorce decree. The divorce order must be signed by a judge and properly filed with the
Clerk of Court. You must have a copy of this order in your possession at the time of application.
If either party is currently incarcerated.
